PhD LicAc FBAcC MBLS has over 25 years’ experience as a practising acupuncturist and as researcher in integrative medicine in the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), where she has conducted several pioneering studies into using acupuncture to manage the consequences of cancer treatments. Beverley is a fellow of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Bristol, Council Member of the British Society for Integrative Oncology (BSIO), and Past Chair of British Lymphology Society (BLS) Scientific Committee. Beverley has published numerous papers in scientific journals and lectures internationally. She is author of Acupuncture and Cancer Survivorship: Recovery, Renewal and Transformation, published by Singing Dragon, and the lead author of Acupuncture in cancer care: recommendations for safe practice (peer-reviewed expert opinion).

Dr. David Hogg is a research scientist with over 15 years of experience in academia and the biotech industry. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Kinesiology and Physiology and Pharmacology from Western University (Canada) and a PhD in Cell and Systems Biology from the University of Toronto, where he investigated neural mechanisms of stress adaptation and hypoxia tolerance.

Dr. Hogg’s research in the biotechnology sector has involved preclinical drug discovery across diverse therapeutic areas, including peptide-based treatments for anxiety and depression, RNA therapeutics for epilepsy, and stem cell therapies for Parkinson’s disease. He is the author of more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and is a co-inventor on a patent for a neuroendocrine peptide therapeutic currently in clinical development.

In addition to his research, Dr. Hogg has lectured in physiology, neuroscience, and molecular biology at the University of Toronto. His current research interests focus on the development of non-psychoactive cannabinoid-based therapeutics.

Jonathan has been a physiotherapist for 30 year and has 25 year’s clinical experience in acupuncture and dry needling and was awarded his MSc in acupuncture in 2004.

He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and the former Chair of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (10 years), the largest professional body for acupuncture in the UK and he is also an expert witness specialising in needling adverse events.

Jonathan delivers training courses worldwide and has been published in numerous books and journals covering physiology, anatomy and adverse events.

He has previously been the Principal of a School of Physiotherapy in the UK and trains physiotherapists within Premiership and Championship football, the UK Sports Institute, UK Athletics, the English National Ballet, the Ministry of Defence, and the NHS in the UK.

In the US he trains clinicians from the NFL and the US military.

He has taught cadaveric anatomy for the last 10 years in both the UK and US.

He has taught almost 3000 clinicians worldwide.

He currently splits his time between continued clinical practice, point of care ultrasound, mentorship, student supervision, teaching and writing.

Jay P. Shah, MD is a physiatrist, clinical investigator, and Adjunct Faculty in the Bioengineering Department at George Mason University. His expertise is chronic myofascial, musculoskeletal, and chronic pelvic pain syndromes, and the somato-visceral interactions underlying them. He has given many invited international lectures and hands-on workshops that integrate fascinating and clinically impactful knowledge emerging from the basic and clinical pain sciences. His overarching goal is to teach clinicians - of all kinds - how to optimize evaluation and treatment approaches (including the application of physical medicine using dry needling, electrical stimulation, and neuro-anatomical acupuncture techniques) to more effectively manage pain and improve quality of life and function in these ubiquitous pain syndromes.

Duncan is the vice president of the British Medical Acupuncture Society, senior member of the lecturing team and accreditation board.

Duncan graduated from School of Physiotherapy UCD 1997, BPhysiotherapy (Hons) and also holds a Diploma in Health Service Management, Hdip in Management, an MA in Public Management, and a Diploma in Medical Acupuncture. He is an internationally accredited mediator. He has written books on men's health, back pain (Back to Brilliant), positive thinking (Be the Best You, You be You) and co-wrote acupuncture Western Medical Acupuncture Protocols for chronic pain with Drs. Mike Cummings and Amer Sheikh. His books feature on recommended reading lists for several degree courses.

Dr Warkiani is a Professor and CINSW Fellow in the School of Biomedical Engineering, University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. He received his PhD in Bioengineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU, Singapore) and undertook postdoctoral training at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA). Dr. Warkiani is the co-director of the Institute for Biomedical Materials & Devices (IBMD) at UTS and the co-founder of two startups, NeoGenix Biosciences and SMART MCs.

Dr Warkiani’s research focuses on developing innovative cell biology solutions through microfluidics and organoid-on-a-chip systems. His team has pioneered advanced cell sorting technologies for stem cells, exosomes, circulating tumor cells, and fetal cells, enhancing diagnostic precision and advancing regenerative therapies. In organoid-on-a-chip technology, he designs sophisticated 3D platforms that replicate tissue functions, such as human skin, offering valuable insights into disease modeming and drug discovery with stem cell-derived exosomes.

Dr. Miltiades Y. Karavis, MD, MSc, FICAE is a specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with a Master of Science in Algology and Pain Management from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He serves as Scientific Director of the International Postgraduate Center of Acupuncture (AcuScience) in Athens since 1992 and is Chairman of the Hellenic Medical Acupuncture Association.

Dr. Karavis received basic training in Acupuncture from CEDAT (1986, Marseille, France) and advanced training in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (1992, 1996 and 2005). He has been an invited speaker at international events in New York (Columbia University), Copenhagen, Sofia, Vilnius, Switzerland, Korea and Barcelona, focusing on the scientific and integrative dimensions of acupuncture.

He is a board “member of directors” of the International Society of Oriental Medicine (ISOM) since 2009 and a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) since 2024. His contributions include numerous scientific articles and six books on medical, neural, electro- and auricular acupuncture, advancing the field of integrative pain management and acupuncture-based therapies.

Since 1989, he has been actively teaching medical acupuncture to physicians in Greece and abroad, including in several postgraduate programs at the University of Athens. He also teaches in two Continuing Education programs (Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Units) at accredited Greek universities, focusing on medical acupuncture and integrative therapeutic approaches.

Tobias Schwartz Blass is a 39-year-old German hypnotherapist, educator, and recognized expert in Ericksonian Hypnotherapy. His fascination with the power of hypnosis began at the age of 14, when he successfully hypnotized his best friend — a pivotal moment that sparked a lifelong passion for the subconscious mind.

At 18, Tobias joined the military and served as a reconnaissance medic and sniper. During his years of service, he was granted the opportunity to study psychology at the University of Heidelberg.
